Dearborn Station

Dearborn Station was a former railway station built in 1883. Dearborn Station was the oldest train station back to the 1880s. In 1971, the station was closed on Dearborn Street. The tracks were removed and the train shed demolished. But the citizens demanded that the headhouse (the entry building and clock tower) remain. In the early 1980s, the headhouse was converted to office and retail space.


                 

Cloud Gate

The Cloud Gate is located in Millennium Park. It looks like a grain bean, so the local people named it"The Bean". It is a 110 ton by 168 pieces of stainless steel plate welded into the urban sculpture. It was designed by the British-Indian sculptor Anish Kapoor. People can see both reflection on themselves and the landscapes behind. It is a great place to take pictures!

Buckingham Fountain

Buckingham Fountain located on August 26, 1927. Situate in the center of Grant Park. The diameter of the pool is 85 meters. It is one of the largest fountains in the world. It is a famous landmark in Chicago and it welcomes the guest from around the world. In the evening. colorful lights light up from under the spring. There are 4 bronze seahorses that symbolizes the states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin) that bordering Lake Michigan. And the fountain basin represents the lake itself.

Chinatown Square

Chinatown square was completed in 1993. It has 22 years of history from now. There are many stores and restaurants locate in Chinatown square. At the center of the square there are 12 bronze zodiac figures. Many tourists go there and take pictures with those figures. On the weekend it is usually bustling and people have a jolly time visiting the places.

























Chicago Chinatown

Chicago Chinatown is one of the largest and most prosperous Chinatown in America. Chicago Chinatown is on the north side centered on Cermak and Wentworth Avenues. It is the settlement for Chinese people. Expressing the cultural and traditional identity. Most Chinese are living and working in Chinatown. The first Chinatown was located in downtown area near Clark Street. Now a lot of people who are not living in Chinatown come to visit Chinatown, to consume in the stores or restaurants.
